KENSUKE YAMADA

FREE BIRD

July 2 - August 16, 2008

Reception & Artist Talk Wednesday, July 2nd, 6-8 pm

Sculptor Kensuke Yamada is back with his second solo show, Free Bird.

The ceramic sculpture is rough textured and kiln fired with multiple glazes.

The work is technically complex and deeply imaginative with a narrative theme

of what being free is - and isn't.

Kensuke is currently in a summer residency at the Archie Bray Foundation

in Helena, Montana. He will complete his MFA degree at the University of Montana

in the Spring of 2009. Kensuke was born and raised in Japan and has an undergradute

degree from The Evergreen State College.
